São Luis / Barreirinhas

Departure (in the morning) from hotel in Sao Luis to Barreirinhas. Accommodation in a Pousada, and take a tour to the famous natural lakes with crystal clear water(formed by rain) and dunes. Evening free.

Barreirinhas

After breakfast departure from your pousada to a Fd tour by boat through Preguiça River until Cabure a simple, exotic and rustic place, bathed by the Preguiças River on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Here you can choose from several restaurants to have lunch (not included). During the tour we will stop at Vassouras to swim in one of the small Lençois, then will continue to Mandacaru to visit the Lighthouse that from the top of its 35m or 160 steps, it is possible to see the Preguiças River, the Lençóis Maranhenses and the white dunes along the margins of the Maranhão sea. It is located in the village of Mandacaru, at the edge of the Park. The Lighthouse is closed to visits on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Evening free.
