Amazon Village

The Amazon Village is located 30 km from Manaus, on the bank of the Puraquequara Lake (fed by one to the Amazon's innumerable tributaries). Located in the heart of the jungle, the Village offers visitors a unique perspective of the natural and cultural wonders of the Amazon.
Tour packages range in the number of days, and include activities such as jungle hikes, canoe trips, visits to local indigenous groups, and alligator spotting. These exceptional tours are accompanied by bilingual guides, experts in the wonders of the tropical rainforest.
In addition to the daily activities, the village facilities offer unique entertainment and comfort. The main building houses the reception desk, as well as the leisure area, a large terrace perfect for sunbathing, reading and relaxing with nature. The restaurant serves regional Brazilian cuisine made with local ingredients, and the bar is equipped with comfortable sofas and chairs, perfect for relaxing before and after excursions or sharing drinks with new friends.
The Amazon Village has 45 guestrooms, housed in wooden bungalows built amongst the trees. Rooms are simple and comfortable, equipped with twin beds, a ceiling fan, and private bathroom facilities. Also included are mosquito screens and a private veranda with hammock and rainforest views.
Please note: The lodge uses alternative energy sources and therefore, guestrooms do not have electricity 24 hours a day. The lights in the room are limited in the evening hours and there is no hot water available. There are also no power outlets (e.g.110V / 220V) available to charge cameras, etc. The Village provides guests with candles and kerosene lamps, and the kitchen and service areas are supplied with electricity continuously.
Transfers to and from Manaus and the Village are by bus and boat, and include a visit to the Manaus Opera House (cost not included).
