The Caiman ecological Refuge is located at 236km (147 miles) west of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul State Capital and the transfer takes aprox. 4hours. The Caiman Ecological Refuge is comprised of 2 lodges and the main lodge in strategic points of a 53.000. It ranch, as follows:
BAIAZINHA LODGE - raised on wood stilts, it stands at the edge of a small cove of permanent wetland, facing a rooting site. This rustic style lodge has 6 rooms with private baths and terraces, selling fans, ample living room, home style restaurant and an observation tower. Distant 9 Km away from Caiman Main Lodge.
CORDILHEIRA LODGE - Build on stilts, this singular lodge is situated on the edge of a seasonal wetland, with a castle like tower with provides a more extensive view of the surrounding ridges. It has 6 apartments and 2 suites with private bath and terraces, ample living room and home style restaurant and ceiling fans. Distant 17 km from Caiman Main Lodge.
CAIMAN MAIN LODGE - Spanish-building has 11 apartments with private baths and air conditioning, a pool, a restaurant with home made meals and living room with TV and video.

The Lodge offers 3 activities per day - morning / afternoon / evening - such as: boat tours, alligator spotting, video presentation, horse back riding, photo safari, Farm tour, ecological treck and others. Activities are not fixed and may vary according to the weather conditions.

IMPORTANT !!!

1) Check in: 3:00pm / Check out: 12:00pm Guests can arrive as early as 9:00am at the pousada but will only have access to the room at 3:00pm. Guests can leave Caiman as late as 3:00pm, but must leave the room at 12:00pm.
2) Opening hours of Caiman main entrance gate: Gate will be opened at 6:30am and will be closed at 09:30pm. No one not even with a private transfer will be allowed in at a different hour.
3) All reservations done at Caiman , will be subject to stay at any of the 2 pousadas (see above). Passengers will NOT be able to choose in which pousada they will be staying. This will be informed only upon arrival at the Lodge.

	Thursday: Transfer from Campo Grande Airport to Caiman Lodge. Welcome drink and presentation tour. Dinner. Friday: Breakfast and 2 regular tours of the lodge, and in the evening a slide show about Mato Grosso. Lunch and dinner included. Saturday: Breakfast and 3 regular tours (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon, 1 in the evening). Lunch and dinner included. Sunday: Breakfast and transfer to Fazenda Boca da Onça (2hours) with a full day tour to Serra da Bodoquena. In the evening transfer to Bonito (50km). Lunch and dinner included Monday: Breakfast. Floating in Rio Sucuri with lunch included and dinner at Wetega Hotel Thusday: Breakfast. Tour to the Lago Azul Cave. Transfer to Campo Grande Airport(320km).
