The Diamond Path

Picture: Pedro Vilela / MTur The Diamond Path is the most beautiful stretch of the entire Royal Road because it follows the Espinhaço mountain range, passing through colonial towns, farms, waterfalls, until it reaches Diamantina, which, of all the historical cities in Minas Gerais, offers the best blend of architectural, cultural, and natural attractions.

This path can be an extension of the New Path, connection Ouro Preto to Diamantina, the two cities that are World Hertiage Sites, with a stop at the Serra do Cipó National Park, which boasts impressive waterfalls.

 

Our itinerary to explore the Diamond Path includes:

3 nights in Diamantina Tours: historical Walking Tour; Cerrado Trails; Biribiri Village. An exploration of the rich architectural heritage of the town and the savanna around it.

 

2 nights in Serra do Cipó Tours: Walking trail inside the National Park; Caves Tour. Walk through fields of flowers and savanna flora and go deep into a cave complex. Economy car rental with pickup and drop-off at.
